SNAP has written to the Pennsylvania congressional delegation asking its members to urge congressional leaders to eliminate a cut in federal Medicaid DSH allotments to the states.

SNAP asked members of PA’s congressional delegation to sign a bipartisan letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Azar asking the Secretary to prevent pharmaceutical companies from denying access to discounted prescription drugs made available through the federal section 340B prescription drug discount program.

SNAP has endorsed a U.S. House proposal to delay implementation of the Medicaid fiscal accountability regulation. If implemented, that regulation could affect access to care for some of the 2.8 million Pennsylvanians currently enrolled in Medicaid.

SNAP urged Pennsylvania senators Pat Toomey and Bob Casey to advocate six proposals that the state’s safety-net hospitals seek in new federal COVID-19 legislation.

SNAP wrote to PA Department of Human Services Secretary Teresa Miller to point out challenges that arise in the potential use and interpretation of data hospitals have reported in DHS’s survey of hospitals’ financial condition as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
